Dear David, you were not the dad that I was born to but you are definitely the dad that I chose! You were always so generous with your time, energy and support that I never had to ask, you gave those things freely. I am going to miss so many things about you including your knowledge and over explaining of even the most random things. I am going to miss you at the dinner table, it feels empty with out you. I am going to miss your humour and the way in which we used to grass each other up to mum for the most ridiculous things to get the other in trouble, even though it never worked! I am going to miss watching the cycling with you and just chilling with you on a sunday afternoon or during tuesday night dinners. You were the best grandfather to my daughter Emma, I dont think anybody worried as much about her well being as you did (there is a family joke here which will always make me smile).
